5. Properties: Heptahydrate: blue-green crystals or granules. Odorless, slightly or tasteless, astringent, will be weathered in dry air, and easily oxidized into brown-yellow basic ferric sulfate in humid air. Soluble in water, insoluble in ethanol.
Dry product: off-white to beige powder. Has an astringent taste. It is mainly composed of FeSO-Ho, and contains a small amount of FeSO4-4HO. It dissolves slowly in cold water (26.6g/100mL, 20°C), and dissolves rapidly when heated. Insoluble in ethanol. Almost insoluble in 50% sulfuric acid.
6. Uses: nutritional supplements (iron fortifiers), fruit and vegetable coloring agents.
7. Packaging: Inner lined with polyethylene plastic bag, outer layer in composite plastic woven bag, net weight of each bag is 25kg.
8. Storage and remote transportation: This product should be stored in a dry, ventilated and clean warehouse. When loading and transporting, it should be handled lightly to prevent packaging glass powder, prevent moisture, heat, and prevent rain and moisture during transportation. 1.Nutritional Supplement. Together with other iron compounds,ferrous sulphate is used to fortify foods and treat irondeficiency anemia.Constipation is a frequent and uncomfortable side effect associatedwith the administration of oral supplements.Stool softeners often are bprescribed to prevent constipa tion.
2.Water effluent treatment system. It's used for purification of drinking water and wastewater treatment by settling of impurities by means of precipitation and flocculation.
3.Paper Industry. It helps in sizing of paper at neutral and alkaline pH, thus improving paper quality (reducing spots and holes and improving sheet formation and strength) and sizing efficiency.
4. Textile Industry. It is used for color fixing in Naphthol based dyes for cotton fabric.
